Equal parts storage unit, dividing screen and architectural palisade, Marechiaro by French designer Philippe Nigro is an original take on the conventional bookcase.
The dual-sided “screen-cabinet” from Ligne Roset allows for book or object display on one side while the opposite side features equally sized wood slats arranged in an openwork that create a visually permeable yet space-dividing screen.
Three modules are included within the system – straight, concave and convex – and they can be joined together in near-endless ways to create customized structures, including alcoves, curved walls and linear runs.
Made from ash, the Marechiaro Storage Unit can have either a natural ash frame with natural ash shelves and natural or black-stained slats or a black-stained ash frame with bronze patina and black-stained slats.
