Designed for KFI Studios by product design firm Union Design, Willow is a mobile table perfectly aligned with today’s focus on flexible workspaces, encouraging people to move around and work anywhere.
Formed from bent plywood, the Willow table is a classic C-shape design that accommodates working on sofas, chairs, and benches, providing a seamless blend of function and freedom. Willow is ideally suited for lounge and collaborative spaces, where a laptop table or extra work surface is needed.
Utilizing a function first approach in the design process, Willow truly embodies the way in which people interact and use mobile tables. Most importantly, Willow promotes simplicity in its use. “Willow’s form and function are seamlessly joined,” says Jeff Theesfeld, founder of Union Design. “Its simple form is purposeful, so users immediately understand how to use the product.”
The tabletop provides ample room to work on your laptop or tablet or simply use as a writing surface. The C-shape design allows the table to be used from the side or in front of you. When placed in front of you, the angled footrest is ergonomically positioned so you can work more comfortably.
For easy mobility, Willow’s distinctive wood wheels easily move across various floor types and its rubber tires are non-marking. With wheels being placed only on one side, it is naturally self-braking to prevent movement while working. Plus, a hidden undersurface groove makes pulling the table towards or pushing away from you effortless.
Willow’s plywood structure is finished with a durable high-pressure laminate surface. The laminate is available in White, Ash, and Dark Chestnut for design appeal across many interior styles.
The Willow table’s innovative design has received multiple awards including iF Design, Good Design, and HiP awards. This is a testament to Willow’s refined aesthetic and functionality that is smartly integrated into every detail.
