Italian designer Sergio Bicego has created the Mon-île soft seating elements for Gebrüder Thonet Vienna, enhancing the brand’s collection of upholstered furniture. 

The Mon-île soft seating from Gebrüder Thonet Vienna includes a modular sofa and a large circular armchair that both help to create a warm and inviting living space. Generous and comfortable, the upholstered seats can form an archipelago-like destination, with the ability to reconfigure the elements as needs and situations change. 

Uniting the modular elements of the Mon-île seating collection is its defining feature – a bentwood and woven cane backrest that highlights the quality craftsmanship of all Gebrüder Thonet Vienna pieces. 

The bentwood and woven cane backrest can form the entire backrest on the sofa, or be alternated with upholstered volumes for added visual interest. 

Two solid ash wood side tables with woven cane inserts complement and complete the Mon-île collection. The tables can stand alone as their own entity or be integrated within the composition of the sofa. 

A robust modular system, the Mon-île sofa collection includes single-, double- and triple-seater volumes, straight or curved backrests and corner units and a wide range of upholstery options are available for both the sofa and circular armchair.
