Uhmmm, you have not actually said whether there is a demonstrable difference. You simply said you would, then launched into the normal corporate masturbation available if you visit their website. Not a subjective review at all.

If your digital signal gets a bit shaky, you might get jitter problems and you might get loss of signal. Ethernet and hdmi cables transmit a digital signal. It won’t have any pact on the quality of the transmitted media, only the quality of the connection.

I’m a network engineer and the only difference would be a loss of signal that a better cable would improve. If your connection is stable, a “better” cable will not make any difference. It is only placebo.

I wish I was so sure about everything in life.

Black and white, nonsuch thing as grey.

Keep reviewing

We buried my father this week after 4 years of caring for him at home with cancer. It’s heartbreaking and I absolutely dreaded the funeral but it’s 4 days later now and I’m feel at peace knowing what my Mum, sister and I did to make the final years, months, weeks, days and minutes of my father’s life more loving and comfortable. I didn’t think I would get through it but I have and you will too. Do all and everything you have to for your parent’s while they are here and it will give you peace of mind when they are no longer.

Stay strong and take care.

It’s because it IS ridiculous.

The irony is that the content of your article, photographs, text and all has been transmitted flawlessly over thousands of miles cheap of copper and fiber for me to read it.
That’s the nature of buffering & error checking protocols.
It’s what allows you to send files between computers w/o errors… ditto when my streamer reads from my media library.

It’s all ethernet frames, sometimes delivered out of order yet re-assembled like a transporter out of Star Trek.

If there’s a difference made by a change in an ethernet cable, it’s due to a severely flawed ethernet device on one end or you’re hearing things that aren’t there. But so long as there are gullible people out there, somebody will be waiting to sell them magic.

There is no sonic improvement with any digital cable, ever. It’s simply not possible.

Ian,

I can relate to your circumstances. My parents both had a long life at 92 years. It was a stressful time taking care of them their last few years. It gets better with time…….

I believe that some people that commented were strictly looking at these cables as “ethernet cables”. As an Engineer that has designed many ethernet connectors and cable systems, I can say that in the AV community they have different requirements for cables. Skew is more important for AV vs Ethernet. Many use uncompressed signals that are not at all like ethernet. So in those cases, the connectors and cables can be improved to enhance the quality of audio and video. It all depends on the equipment that’s being used.Return Loss and Insertion Loss are more important to AV than Ethernet. It’s not snake oil at all. If it uses digital signals then they are correct. Use Cat 5e and call it done. But not all AV equipment is digital.

If it doesn’t, you get no signal at all.

Ethernet protocol is very fault tolerant and has built in redundancy for even very heavy packet loss. Even with heavy pollution or interference, if the signal gets to its destination then it’s identical as it was sent.

Otherwise your website would have corrupt photos, wrong characters, or other garbage appear instead.
