That is a really nice sounding rig. Enjoy it.

I can not believe the sound this modest rig produces. From Led Zeppelin to Miles Davis. Amazing.

Robb,

It could work but they really need a few feet from the wall behind them to open up. The imaging suffers a lot if they are too close.

The A2 represent the “new” Spendor sound; they do not sound as warm as the Classic series but have better detail and can be utterly transparent and vanish in a good room.

Best,

PS…they sound even better with tubes.

Best.

I currently have a 335 sq ft room with 9′-11′. The speaker wall is 9′ and it increases to 11′ in the rear. How would these Spendor A2 fit in this scenario? I recently gave all my equipment to my Dad and now I’m starting over. So many options to consider, also looking at tube options. Love the site.

I’m more of a Spendor person myself, but I’ve tried the amp with the Chora 806 and the combination worked.

I do think the Spendor Classic Series with Naim is a fantastic combination.

Raghu,

I’m a bigger fan of the entry-level Naim amps than their really expensive ones. The Nait 5si has the trademark boogie factor that Naim amps are good at but also sounds very smooth to me with everything. It doesn’t create a huge soundstage but that’s not a Naim thing. Music has pace, body, detail, and excellent timing.

Great sounding system.

For a diminutive amp, they are fantastic!

For me as well. ProAc and Spendor with Naim. Not a huge fan of Focal versus the other two.
