Perhaps the question is, when is more than enough finally enough.

We’re close. Very, very close. When you buy something like an AVR you should get more than just a single firmware upgrade. To me, the most impressive thing about a THX movie is its “Deep Note”.

I have gone from Dolby Surround to Dolby Atmos and find Atmos and the other more recent, for lack of a better term, “soundfields” to be more than merely adequate. They are quite good.

It is like 4K vs 8K televisions. The former was a true upgrade from HD, but 8K? It’s more like a Golden Corral Buffet.
